Black Jack is the artist's tribute to the famed abstract expressionist, Jackson Pollock, It was after seeing a wonderful film on Jackson Pollock that Pam began experimenting with a number of different materials that would allow her to take her art in a whole new, exciting direction. Pam's sculpture Black Jack captures the tremendous movement and energy of a Pollock painting. Black Jack was cast in paper from a thermal drawing on Styrofoam using an archival cotton pulp.
